We started with two guys and a trailer.
Locally owned and operated in Minneapolis since 2011.

Mike Halvorson and Dan Petersen started Greenline in 2011 with two guys, one trailer, and a list of neighbors in south Minneapolis who needed their lawns mowed. Word got around. Thirteen years later we run twelve crews across the Twin Cities and we're still locally owned — no franchise, no out-of-state parent company, just a Minneapolis business that grew the slow way.
What makes us different isn't complicated. We show up when we say we will. We answer the phone. We treat every property like it's our own, and you'll meet the same foreman on day one and on year ten. That consistency is the whole job — anyone can mow a lawn once.
We're Minneapolis people. Everyone here has shoveled a driveway in January and pulled crabgrass in August. We know what a Lake Minnetonka winter does to a paver patio, what an April thaw does to a poorly graded yard, and what kind of turf actually survives a Minnesota summer. The work is built around that.
